Friday 5

I've been MIA all week, and crazy busy. Y'all... it is Friday. And it is officially Spring. PRAISE. Since there would be way too much stuff to update on this week, here are my Friday 5 in pictures!

one.

Holla 19 Weeks. You've been fun. Baby is moving a lot, and I love those tiny little flutters. I joke and say it feels like fishies, or like you are on a roller coaster! Excuse the mirror selfie, the husband leaves a lot earlier than I do! [Happy St. Patrick's day like 3 days late]

Lila and I have been loving this weather earlier in the week! We've knocked out some miles!

Quotes. Man, I have been loving these three this week. Amen and Amen. After a long bonding session with one of my best friends last Friday, she said something very similar to the "Actions" quote below. It immeadiately applied to a certain relationship I have, and I have been thinking about it ever since!!

I came across this in my devotional the other day. Sometimes life can be really overwhelming. Or, we let it be. But I love this verse as a daily reminder that He has overcome the world! Grace upon grace, think about that one for a minute.

five.

Today I bought tickets to the Luke Bryan/FLGALine/Dustin Lynch/ Our dude Thomas Rhett/ and Randy Houser today for the best pre-baby best friend concert ever! Can't wait to watch TR rock Nashville! I also may have done this while stuck behind a train for an hour.

Have a great weekend everyone! Mine will be spent getting my hair done and spending time with my faves before SEATTLE!

Friday 5

Happy Friday! Man what a week it has been for us!

one.

We got to see this sweet precious baby on Tuesday. And find out if we are having a boy or girl. I cannot wait to reveal for everyone to know! I didn't think it would be this hard to keep a secret, but I let it slip before we officially told our friends Wednesday night in mid conversation!

two.

Wednesday night left my heart so happy. We had a few people over, and the whole time I was sitting there just looking around the room watching them (none of which really knew each other) talk and laugh about all sorts of things. Call me cheesy, I embrace it. But that moment was so special to me.  We are so loved by some really genuine and intentional people. Also, please excuse my awkwardness. Color version coming in late March.

Also in the whirlwind of all that excitement, my sweet cousin was born Tuesday. He is perfect in every way. And I literally held him for an hour.

four.

Spring is upon us!! Bring on maxis, sandals, and SUNSHINE!!!!! Mom and I are hitting up a New Mom Sale at a local consignment shop tomorrow, and SO excited to get a few things!!

five.

This quote is the stuff. And what a great reminder, especially after this week. Ya ever have those days that for no reason whatsoever they are just rough? Everyone seems to hurt your feelings, nothing quite goes correctly, etc?! That was me on the majority of the day Wednesday. I even cried in the Target parking lot. I chalk it up to pregnancy hormones, but God definitely had a plan for me to stumble upon this picture. So wherever you are, be all there! It's worth it, I promise.

IT'S A.......

18 Weeks
How Far Along: 18 Weeks!!!

Size of Baby: A sweet potato! Apps say 6-7 oz, but baby is weighing in a little strong at 8 ounces!!

Gender: WE KNOW, WE KNOW, WE KNOW!!!! After a not so ideal phone call from the scheduling nurse saying their full time tech quit, and they'd have to reschedule my Wednesday appointment for the 25th (aka I will be in Seattle), I was in full on pregnancy tears. They did some serious maneuvering and came in early for me yesterday at 6:45 am! So we now know what our precious little baby is! But we are keeping it hush hush from the "public" until Seattle. The title was such a tease, I know.

Fun Fact: Baby is a mobile little one! I got to see all ten fingers and toes and they are already the cutest ever.

Movement: We got to see baby moving around on the ultrasound. What an amazing experience!

Sleep: Monday night was terrible, but I think it was because I was so excited!! However, it's amazing how great I sleep after an ultrasound or hearing the heartbeat. Am I the only one!?!

Workouts: Walked Lila yesterday, and hoping to get a few more good walks/runs in this week. If this rain would just pumped the breaks, the temps are amazing!

Maternity Clothes: hellllooooo maternity jeans! I bought two pairs, and I love them.

Symptoms: nothing crazy!

Cravings/Aversions: None really

Missing Most: Are you kidding, I know what our baby is, I'm not missing anything!!

Nursery: I may or may not have bought bedding yesterday I had to. I was so excited, and we've refrained from getting anything period!! I've had the girl and boy version picked out for about 2 months, so I jumped on it!!

Hubby: He is over the moon right now. He's already talking about plans and what he wants to do with baby, it's so sweet.

Best part of the Week: Bachelor night was fun and all, (that bachelorette news--- tacky.) but knowing that baby appears healthy, that is truly the best thing in the world. We have a couple of people coming over tonight, and I'm so excited. We decided not to do a big gender reveal here and in Seattle. I felt it important his family get some special treatment, so they'll be apart of the news!!

Can't Wait For: 13 days until Seattle. I cannot wait. So. Many. Happy. Things. This is really happening.

Weekending

Happy Monday! Well, this weekend definitely started on an interesting note! If you are squeamish, might want to skip this post... Or just fast forward!

Friday at 2 pm.

I took the afternoon off of seeing customers, mainly because no one wants to see you after 12 on Friday and also because everyone was playing catch up from the weather. I met up with some of the girls to go to REI to look for something for their cruise. [side note, for the past 3 days I had been experiencing some serious pain where the baby is- I chalked this up to normal stretching. However it became so constant that it hurt to do anything]. I was awaiting a call from my dr, and he finally called me back while I was with them. Needless to say, they were concerned but I brushed off the pain because I was a little worried. The dr said if Tylenol and extra water don't help, and it gets worse *words you never want to hear* go to the ER.

Fast forward two hours. I called Pat. Something wasn't quite right with my body and I was starting to stress a little more. Still knowing that cramping is normal, and a lot is happening right now I was really hesitant to be so drastic in decision making to go to the ER. Nothing was bleeding or broken, so in my mind I just need to breath. Pat insisted that if my gut was telling me that something was more than that, I should go. So we did. Well, I did. I rolled up to the ER (after calling mom, dad, and Jo because she lives 2 minutes from the hospital and I was just with her--- I wanted her to pray.) two hours and a very painful IV later, I heard our baby's heartbeat and found out I was rocking really low Potassium levels. Hence my more-than-normal-pregnancy exhaustion and pain. The pain was normal, which I thought, but it was enhanced because my potassium was low. All is well now, I was told to rest all weekend- which I somewhat didn't do, but it was so pretty out!!!

Saturday we had double date night with our neighbors and Sunday was followed by having all the windows in the house open, cleaning, and another double date. We really like our neighbors if you haven't noticed! Here's to a great week, finding out baby's gender *fingers crossed*, and Bachelor finale viewing party tonight!!

Friday 5

Yesterday was an adult snow day for us here in Nashville. I like snow, but I'm so ready for spring. So, if this is our last glimpse of the stuff... I can't say I'll be sad! Posting from my iPad today, so pics may be all messed up!

One.

The Bachelor. Yes, I got sucked into this season. The girls are coming over Monday and we are having the finale viewing party. I'm still thinking he chooses Whitney. Either way, those two or Kaitlyn will make a rocking bachelorette.

Two.

We got our flight confirmation for Seattle. In just 18 days we will be flying first class (shoutout to Pat's uncle's law firm for the miles/upgrade!!) to spend the week with his family. I cannot wait to share this time with them. I truly hit the jackpot with them as my In-law family!

Three.

Speaking of sharing this time with them, this is *hopefully* our last weekend not knowing if we are having a little boy or girl!! I made a cute little picture for it, but for some reason it's not cooperating. So here's the wives tales prediction!

Is baby's heartbeat above or below 140? (142)
Salty or sweet?
Sleep on right or left?
Morning sickness?
Moody or happy?
Skin soft or dry?
Headaches yes or no?
Carrying high or low?
Chinese calendar boy or girl?

Lol, well....... Plot twist: Pat hasn't had a girl born into his family in 4 generations. It's alllllllll boys. And everyone is still voting boy! We may be having a few friends over that evening to tell! We've let them know it's a possibility, but Haven't decided for sure yet!

Four.

Dad sent me a pic this morning of Lila and Hersh laying together. It's so hard to believe it's approaching one year since we lost sweet Hersh. Man, we miss that pup.

Five.

This weekend will be spent cleaning and catching up on DVR. We are spending Saturday night hanging with our neighbors! Happy weekend everyone!

17 Weeks

Week 17

Hellllloooooo Baby Bump [food belly some days, lol].
Also, excuse the mirror selfie, the one Pat took was just whoa.
How Far Along: 17 Weeks... What?!

Size of Baby: An onion or turnip (lol), 5 inches and 5-6 oz!

Gender: Next Wednesday! Ahhhhhh! Boy or girl, I'm praying for a healthy baby.

Fun Fact: Baby is busy gaining some fat!

Movement: YES YES YES! It was the craziest, most surreal moment ever! I was laying in bed Saturday and thought I felt baby move, but I wasn't quite sure so I didn't make a big deal of it. Then Sunday morning I had just woken up, and there baby goes! I ran downstairs and told Pat, he was so excited, and slightly jealous he couldn't feel yet.

Sleep: I have found the trick, instead of going to bed at my grandma time (8:30), I wait until about 9:30 and that has done wonders for my nighttime routine.

Workouts: I ran twice this past weekend, and did some free weights.

Maternity Clothes: Going this weekend to find a few key pieces. It is time. Considering out of no where a belly appeared this week. LOL I thought it had appeared before, nope. Now it is evident! I had originally used this striped fitted shirt to take my weekly pics in, and now I realize it's not as flattering as I hoped. But embracing it fully :)

Symptoms: Just your normal "I am growing a baby" exhaustion, but I am definitely enjoying this second trimester!!

Cravings/Aversions: None really

Missing Most: Nothing really.

Nursery:Waiting on next week! But we began our registry this past weekend. We decided on doing it early so his family could see it when we go to Seattle if they so choose :) Hopefully, we can narrow down an infant carseat.

Hubby: He so wants to feel the baby move, it is so sweet!

Best part of the Week: Besides feeling the baby move, does it get any better than that?!! No, but yesterday I found out that my sweet little baby cousin will be here next week, and oh I cannot wait!

Can't Wait For: This weekend, naturally.

Weekending

Monday has quickly approached again. However, it's JOY week! If you don't listen to the Bobby Bones Show, then you're missing out. It's their anniversary week here in Nashville, and they devote an entire week for artists to come and play, all while spreading the message of joy no matter what. What a great reminder on a Monday!

I've quickly realized I don't take near as many pictures anymore. Ha! This weekend was full of quality time with the hubs. The past few weekends I have been running around like crazy with the girls, so we needed us time! We work together, so sometimes you forget that you haven't had actually quality time that doesn't consist of work or weeknights!

Friday night we caught up on some of our shows. Um, excuse me How To Get Away With Murder!?! Like what in the world!? I haven't had a show leave me speechless in a long time. You go Shonda.

Saturday, we finally got out heat fixed! Praise. Apparently, the guy who did our duct work decided to try a different way of doing it. After they fixed our botched duct work, we now have a lot more airflow! We hit the gym, it felt so good to get back at it after this awful weather. I had lunch with mom, and we grabbed a few necessities at Target. Then, the "fun" (aka somewhat stressful) began. Pat and I started our registry!!! I want to get some of it done before we go to Seattle. We had so much fun deciding on a crib and chair, and other exciting things! I still cannot believe this is real life!

Sunday I ran again. Woohoo! And the most exciting part of the entire weekend, as I was laying in bed that morning I felt our little baby move for the very first time! I knew what it was because it is exactly like they describe it. I ran downstairs to tell Pat, and his face lit up.

So, here's to a joyful and busy week! Do something nice for a friend, family member, or even a stranger this week!
