Friday Five

Keeping it short and sweet and super simple this week because I am exhausted and sobusy!

one.

Including today, I will have seen one of my best friends three times this week! Normally I see her twice a month, so this is really a treat. [even if it keeps me up past my bedtime]

two.

I got Patrick the coolest Seahawks quarter zip for Christmas. It is one of the ones they wear on the sidelines, and I love it!

three.

I am so pumped for a relaxing night tonight. Pat is having guys night, and normally I would opt for girls night, but I think I am really excited to have the house all to myself!

four.

I scored 7 tickets for 5th row endzone to the Titans game. Usually I would be stoked, but due to our current record... No one wants to go watch them lose in the cold. Sooooo, might be donating those and watching from home!

five.

I am so excited about next week. We've got a fun party on Friday, and then off to my grandparents Saturday!! Woohoo!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!

Friday Five

Slowest. Week. Ever. Amirite?! I am so glad it is Friday. We are one step closer to Christmas!!! I hate wishing time away, but I seriously love this holiday season! Especially this Christmas, it is going to have extra special meaning this year. Enough of that for now. Here are a few things I am loving this week:

one.

Second Annual Rudolph Run with the best friends a gal could ask for. Come rain or more rain, we will don our favorite Christmas clothes, and sing loud for all to hear to spread some Christmas cheer. I love that my friends share the same love [obsession] for Christmas! And fun 5ks. I guess that is cool too! Here we are last year. This year's ensembles feature light up accessories. Get. Pumped. Oh, and Mexican afterward. Does it get any better than this?! Nope.

two.

This girl. I saw her for the first time in what felt like ages, but was really just a month. We try to get together at least twice a month, but sometimes with our crazy schedules, we can only do it once! We can literally just sit and talk for hours, and that is what I treasure most about our friendship. I love that she pushes me, strengthens me, encourages me, and doesn't hesitate to laugh at me and with me.[side note: this pic is from awhile ago]

three.

Every year I get an ornament that is significant of something that happened this year. This year we decided on the one below to celebrate buying our first home!!

four.

If you haven't heard this song, you definitely need to listen to it. By far one of my faves of Ed. But, I heard this girl do Stay With Me cover on XM Radio. Holy Toledo it was magical. Even more magical, is this version of Ed's song. I love it.

five.

I am currently looking for a devotional. Has anyone read this? I have heard good things about it! Let me know if you have one that you really enjoy!!

Hope everyone has a happy, happy Friday!!!

Linking up with our girl Elise for the last installment of Favorite Things. I am sad to see this one come to an end, I just love looking at all of the great ideas! Gifts for friends are so fun! I'm really fortunate to have friends that would love basically anything I would. It makes for fun and easy gift shopping! These are some of my favorites to give people! What are some of your go-tos?!  I love to give a pedicure gift card, magazine subscription, or a good book!

The Thanksgiving to Remember

This Thanksgiving was definitely one that I will never forget. We started the morning off with a 5k and some of the best friends. We had so much fun! We even were on the news.

Side Note:
Cant wait for our annual Rudolph run this Friday with the girls!!

Thanksgiving Day was great until about 5 PM, when we realized that the mantle was on fire. At the time it was just a small flame, and within a matter of seconds the entire TV was engulfed in flames. At first we thought it was just the candle's fault, but after inspection it appeared as though the Direct TV box had a faulty wire. So, regardless of the cause... don't burn candles near TVs and check your cable boxes/outlets. Here's a before shot. You definitely don't want to see our faces after. Thankfully, no one was hurt, and we got my 2 year old little cousin up from his nap and out of the house just in time! My homemade strawberry cake was a HIT though!!

The rest of the weekend was calm in comparison. We officially have a few lights on the house! Now, let me slowly ease into this week back from a wild 4 day weekend!
